We departed Roanoke airport at about 3pm on Monday. After making our connection in Atlanta, we travelled about 7 hours before finally seeing some scenery other than clouds. These pictures were taken before we decended for our landing at Anchorage.

We checked into our hotel in Anchorage, about 11:30pm, Alaska time. But it is 3:30am to our bodies! After some much needed sleep, we will start out tomorrow and head to Denali National Park, a 5 hour drive from Anchorage. We'll spend a half day there on Tuesday, then a full day on Wednesday. We're not sure if our lodge will have internet access. If not, more pics will follow on Thursday evening. Check back soon!
